It is recommended that you take out your own insurance from the time of delivery to the time of collection.
The hirer assumes all responsibility once items are in their possession.
Installation, set up and styling is NOT included in our basic hire prices.
Please ensure you keep all prop packaging, especially boxes.
Unless agreed by BVE, all props and furniture are for indoor use only. Any items left outside are done so entirely at the hirer’s risk. If BVE has agreed that furniture can be used outside (weather permitting), please ensure they are not left outside overnight. If stored in a marquee, please ensure they are away from the sides to avoid water damage.
All our props are generally vintage items and will show signs of wear associated with age.
At time of delivery, photos will be taken of the item(s) in front of the client and the client will be asked to sign a damage disclaimer to show you agree on the condition of the item presented to you at the time. This will then be used if there is any dispute on the returned condition of the item.
All props are hired at a rate of 25% of the retail selling cost for up to 4 full days hire. Shorter/longer periods of time can be negotiated at a different fee.
Collection is the preferred method for hire.
If delivery is agreed, it is to one location at ground floor loading by ONE man only.
Assistance is required for offloading.
Deliveries and collections will be made between 10am-5pm Monday – Friday unless otherwise agreed. Delivery costs will be quoted per job.
An additional 50% of delivery cost is charged to deliver or collect at the weekend, Bank Holiday’s or Public Holidays.
Please provide a representative to meet the driver at delivery and collection to ensure the props are checked in and out.
All props and furniture must be moved to one location by the client for collection and assistance is required to load the props. Please ensure this will be available.
It is expected that all items are returned on the agreed date at the exact agreed time. Please see below fees to be incurred for late return of items:
1/2 a day (4hrs+) = 20% of hire fee
1 day = 50% of hire fee
2 days = 75% of hire fee
3 days = 100% of hire fee
If applicable, damage costs will be reasonably calculated by BVE in accordance to proven cost of repair/replacement and by signing this contract the client agrees to this.
A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the retail selling price is required to secure the hire items. This will be returned on safe return of the item minus the hire fee **
Our items are unique and one of a kind and therefore once you have booked them, we can’t offer them to another client. Cancellation of a confirmed booking will incur a percentage fee of the Invoice total.

The balance is payable ONE week in advance of your hire date
Damage/loss deposits are able to be paid by cheque, prior to the event.
This isn’t banked, but held as security. We will return the cheque after the safe collection of all hire items.
All losses will be charged for at FIVE times the hire value, so please take care of the hire items whilst they are in your possession.
BACS is preferable, please allow THREE working days for the transferCheque: please ensure they are received at the Emporium at least SEVEN working days prior to the agreed hire date
